Steep roofs are measured on true slope, not in plan, and every edge and penetration is counted, so nothing turns up on the roof that isn't in the number.
Low-slope roofingTPO, PVC, EPDM and modified bitumen by the square, with insulation, cover board and attachment.
Steep-slope roofingShingles, standing seam, metal panels and tile by the square on true slope, with underlayment, ice and water shield, hips and ridges.
Flashing & sheet metalCoping, edge metal, gutters and downspouts by the linear foot, plus counterflashing at walls.
Siding & claddingFiber cement, vinyl, metal panel and wood siding by area net of openings, with trim and accessories.
WaterproofingBelow-grade membranes and drainage board, plus sealants and joints at the walls.

Do you measure on slope?
Yes. Steep roofs are measured on true slope from the pitch on your drawings, not from the plan view.
Is tapered insulation included?
Yes, where the roof plan shows a tapered layout, crickets included. If it's design-build, we carry an allowance and say so in the notes.
Can you split roofing and siding?
Yes. Each gets its own section, and we can break it out by building, roof area or bid alternate.
